Prof. M. Pınar Mengüç Receives the Luikov Medal, One of the Most Prestigious International Awards in Heat and Mass Transfer

Prof. M. Pınar Mengüç, Director of the Center for Energy, Environment and Economy (CEEE) at Özyeğin University, has been named the recipient of the Luikov Medal, presented by the International Centre for Heat and Mass Transfer (ICHMT).

Awarded biennially, the Luikov Medal recognizes a single scientist for outstanding contributions to the science of heat and mass transfer and for sustained leadership in advancing international scientific collaboration in the field.

The Luikov Medal will be presented to Prof. Mengüç at the International Heat Transfer Conference (IHTC-18), to be held in Rio de Janeiro in August 2026. During the opening day of the conference, held every four years and widely regarded as the world's premier international forum on heat transfer, Prof. Mengüç will deliver an invited plenary lecture.

Prof. Mengüç is internationally recognized for his contributions to thermal radiation, heat and mass transfer, energy systems, and for his leadership in fostering international scientific collaboration.
