The Future of Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Technologies Explored at Özyeğin University

Özyeğin University hosted the 10th International Conference on Ultrafine-Grained and Nanostructured Materials (UFGNSM 2026), bringing together leading researchers to explore the latest advances in advanced materials and additive manufacturing. Held on July 8 at the Zeynep Alp Köseoğlu Auditorium, the conference opened with remarks by our President Prof. Barış Tan.

The conference convened academics, researchers, and industry leaders to examine emerging technologies that are shaping the future of strategic sectors, including aerospace, defense, energy, and biomedicine. Organized by Additive Manufacturing Alloys Development, Application, and Research Center (KİMTAL) at Özyeğin University, the event showcased cutting-edge research on nanostructured materials, next-generation alloys, and innovations in additive manufacturing technologies.

The conference also featured distinguished international scholars, including Prof. Irene Beyerlein from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) and Prof. Yuntian Zhu from the City University of Hong Kong, who shared their latest research and insights on the future of advanced materials and manufacturing technologies with participants.
