Özyeğin University Hosted the UFGNSM 2026 Conference

Özyeğin University welcomed leading academics, researchers, and industry representatives from around the world to the 10th International Conference on Ultrafine-Grained and Nanostructured Materials (UFGNSM 2026). The conference was organized by the Özyeğin University Additive Manufacturing Alloys Development, Application, and Research Center (KİMTAL) under the leadership of Conference Chair Prof. Güney Güven Yapıcı.

Focusing on advanced materials and manufacturing technologies used in strategic sectors such as aerospace, defense, energy, and biomedicine, the conference showcased the latest research on nanostructured materials, next-generation complex concentrated alloys, and additive manufacturing technologies.

As part of the program, distinguished invited speakers from some of the world's leading institutions including the University of California, Santa Barbara (UC Santa Barbara), the University of New Mexico, the City University of Hong Kong, the Max Planck Institute for Sustainable Materials, Osaka University, and the École de Technologie Supérieure (ÉTS) shared their latest research on advanced materials with participants.

Serving as a dynamic platform for scientific exchange, UFGNSM 2026 strengthened international research collaborations while fostering new partnerships and interdisciplinary research initiatives.
