Our Electrical and Electronics Engineering Students Win Second Place in the IEEE Undergraduate Capstone Project Competition

Özyeğin University senior Electrical and Electronics Engineering students Görkem Yeşilata and Serdar Ali Sönmez were awarded second place in the IEEE Undergraduate Capstone Project Competition, held as part of the 34th IEEE Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU 2026).

The project "Beam-Swept Near-Field Angle Estimation in the FR3 Band Using Machine Learning," supervised by Assistant Professor Çağatay Edemen, was recognized by the jury for its technical originality and its contribution to the advancement of 6G technologies.
