Özyeğin University Selected as Interface for 1512 BIGG Program

Özyeğin University’s application for TÜBİTAK’s “1st Phase Implementing Institution Call” under the “1512 Techno-Entrepreneurship Capital Support Program” has qualified for funding. The application was submitted in cooperation with the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) under the coordination of the Center for Entrepreneurship at Özyeğin University.

The call was announced to select the Interface Institutions which will be in charge of the 1st Phase processes under TÜBİTAK’s BIGG (Individual Young Entrepreneur) Program, including promoting the program, as well as selecting, training, and mentoring eligible entrepreneurs. Özyeğin University has been selected as one of 23 institutions which have qualified to receive funding under the call.

With this support, the Fit Startup Factory at Özyeğin University will continue to run the 1st phase implementing institution activities from July 2018 to June 2020, as it successfully did from July 2015 to June 2018.

The program aims to support entrepreneurs in receiving 150,000 TL of the grant support offered under the BIGG Program in cooperation with volunteering faculty members at Özyeğin University and institutions such as GE Turkey, BEYSAD, TR Angels, Revo Capital, Keiretsu Forum İstanbul, Mentors Network Turkey, and Cevherler CPA Firm.
