Özyeğin University Athletic Center Specialist Gizem Nurbay Serves as National Team Coach at the European Junior Finswimming Championship

Özyeğin University Athletic Center Specialist Gizem Nurbay served as a coach on the Turkish National Underwater Sports Team at the 2026 CMAS European Championship Finswimming Indoor Juniors held in Chios, Greece.

Throughout the championship, Nurbay contributed to the national team’s preparation, performance, and competition processes as part of the technical team. With her support, the Turkish National Team achieved remarkable results:

• 4x200 m Surface Junior Men’s Relay Team – European Runner-Up
• Derin Çelikkanat, 400 m Bi-Fins Junior Women’s Event – European Runner- Up
• Ali Aras Ödüm, 1500 m Surface Junior Men’s Event – European Runner-Up
• 4x100 m Surface Junior Men’s Relay Team – European Third Place
• 4x50 m Surface Junior Men’s Relay Team – European Third Place
