Would You Like to Represent Özyeğin University at COP31?
The world’s largest international gathering, where countries come together to discuss their climate targets, is taking place in Türkiye this year.
COP31 is the United Nations’ annual global climate conference. For the first time, Türkiye will host the conference, which will take place in Antalya from 9–20 November 2026.
We invite applications from Özyeğin University students who would like to represent our University, follow the global climate agenda on-site, and become part of the Özyeğin University COP31 Committee.
Which roles can you apply for?
- Youth Delegate: Follow climate policies and negotiation processes closely, contribute to youth-related activities, and take part in reporting and documentation activities.
- Observer: Attend and follow sessions and events within the scope of COP31 to gain first-hand knowledge and experience of the process.
What do we expect you to include in your application?
- The role you would like to take on and your motivation for choosing it.
- Your current and previous work related to sustainability and climate change, including projects, student club activities, volunteering experience, academic work, and the specific roles and responsibilities you have undertaken in these activities.
The selection process will be based on applicants’ past and current involvement in sustainability and climate-related activities, as well as their motivation to participate in the COP31 process.

- Applications for COP31 volunteering have already closed. However, if you previously registered as a volunteer, please contact us.
- Graduate students who would like to take part in presenting a project or research study at COP31, or who are currently conducting relevant work, are also encouraged to contact us.
