PUSULA: ÖzÜ Law Learning Community Is Launching!

Dear Students,

In the new academic year, we are embarking on a new journey to learn, share, and create together:

PUSULA: ÖzÜ Law Learning Community

Pusula is a voluntary learning community where you can learn from diverse experiences, discuss current legal and social issues together from a rights-based perspective, explore emerging fields of study, and gain new perspectives to help shape your academic and professional journey.

What awaits us at Pusula?
Monthly thematic online meetings,
conversations with legal professionals and civil society experts working in different fields,
discussions on current cases, human rights, and access to justice,
field visits,
announcements of volunteering, internship, training, and event opportunities,
meetings introducing the work of ÖzÜ Law Clinics and the roles you can take on in these activities,
activities and collaborative projects to be shaped together in line with your interests and needs,
in-person community gatherings.

Pusula is primarily open to ÖzÜ Faculty of Law students who have completed their first year. To ensure an interactive learning and sharing environment, participation will be limited to 20 students during the community’s first term. Participants will be selected based on their responses to the application form.

Pusula is a learning community built on regular and active participation. Participants will be expected to attend the monthly meetings regularly and take responsibility for at least one preparation, facilitation, or collaborative production process during the year.

Students who fulfill the required conditions will receive a Certificate of Participation at the end of the program.

This program is conducted by the Dean’s Office of Özyeğin University Faculty of Law.

Rather than offering students a predetermined direction, Pusula is a shared learning space that accompanies them as they chart their own paths throughout their academic and professional journeys.
