Dear Students,

Please find below the application requirements and steps for the 2026 - 2027 Fall and Spring Semester General Dormitory Applications.

Dormitory Application Process

You may complete your general dormitory applications for the 2026 - 2027 Fall and Spring semesters via SIS from Monday, August 24, 2026, 10 a.m. to Friday, August 28, 2026, 17:00.

No fees will be paid during the dormitory application. However, once assigned a room through this application process, students are required to pay the security deposit and Fall semester housing fees in full. We kindly remind you that students who have not yet paid their security deposits are required to complete their payments by the deadline specified in the dormitory application results announcement.

Important Reminders For Students Admitted in the 2026 - 2027 Academic Year:

Please note that newly admitted students residing outside Istanbul as well as those from the top four precincts within Istanbul are granted priority in room assignments only for their first year—provided that they apply during the dormitory application period announced in enrollment week.

To secure your priority room assignment, you must either include all room types in your dormitory application form or select “Yes” for the option, “I would like to be assigned to a different room if I cannot be placed in the room of my preference.”

We also would like to remind all our esteemed new students (admitted in 2026) with room assignment priority that while on-campus housing is guaranteed, the specific room type cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, please make sure to specify your room preferences as outlined above.

Room Assignment Priorities:

1.     Students with housing scholarship 
2.     International students
3.     Newly admitted students from outside Istanbul 
4.     Newly admitted students from the top 4 precincts within Istanbul
5.     Current students from outside Istanbul   
6.     Newly admitted students from the 5th or 6th precincts within Istanbul
7.     Current students from Istanbul **

*The order of priority for room assignments for students from Istanbul is as follows:

1. Precinct: Arnavutköy, Büyükçekmece, Çatalca, Silivri
2. Precinct: Princess Islands, Avcılar, Başakşehir, Beylikdüzü, Esenyurt, Küçükçekmece, Sultangazi
3. Precinct: Bağcılar, Bahçelievler, Bakırköy, Bayrampaşa , Esenler, Eyüpsultan, Gaziosmanpaşa, Güngören, Zeytinburnu
4. Precinct: Beykoz, Beyoğlu, Fatih, Kağıthane, Pendik Sarıyer, Tuzla
5. Precinct: Ataşehir, Beşiktaş, Kadıköy, Kartal, Maltepe, Şile, Şişli, Üsküdar
6. Precinct: Çekmeköy, Sancaktepe, Sultanbeyli, Ümraniye

Students whose precincts are the same will be ranked among themselves based on the following order of priority:

1.       Year of Admission (Current students will be ranked based on their year of admission from earliest to latest)
2.       Date and Time of Application (from earliest to latest)

Residence Address Verification for Current Students:

When implementing room assignment priorities, our primary consideration is the student’s permanent residence address and the date it was registered. 

Residing outside Istanbul constitutes a priority in room assignments. However, additional criteria for room assignments are also considered before making the final decision.  

Please note that if a student changes his/her permanent address before or after university enrollment, the reason, justification, and date of this change will be reviewed. If deemed necessary, the permanent address registered during the student’s university entrance examination and high school education may be used as the basis for room assignment.

When determining the room assignment priorities of international students, their alma mater (country information) and/or permanent addresses will also be considered.

Application Results

You may check the result of your dormitory applications starting from Thursday, September 3, 2026. To check your dormitory application results, please log into the SIS and click on the Dormitory Procedures >> Dormitory Application Result tabs.
