Özyeğin University Welcomes Fall Exchange Students to Campus

Özyeğin University is welcoming 74 exchange students from 18 countries, 32 partner institutions, and 26 different nationalities to its Çekmeköy Campus for the 2026-2027 Fall semester. The University’s annual Orientation Program opened with a welcome gathering, where President Prof. Barış Tan and Dean of Students Nergis Uyan met with the incoming students.

During the gathering, Prof. Barış Tan introduced students to some of Özyeğin University’s distinctive strengths and its internationalization efforts, while drawing on examples from his own academic journey and professional experience. Highlighting the value of international experience for both personal and academic growth, President Tan encouraged students to explore Istanbul and discover different regions of Türkiye. Nergis Uyan, Dean of Students, spoke about Özyeğin University’s student-centered approach and invited the exchange students to become actively involved in campus life, student clubs, and social activities.

During the Orientation Program, students received information about academic and administrative procedures, campus life, university resources, and support services available to them throughout their exchange. The program concluded with activities designed to help students become familiar with the University, begin using its online systems, and make their first connections within the community.
