President Prof. Barış Tan Attends Care Equality Corporate Network Press Conference

Özyeğin University President Prof. Barış Tan attended the Care Equality Corporate Network Press Conference held on October 8, 2026. In his remarks, Prof. Tan underscored the importance of bringing knowledge generated through academic research into dialogue with society and the business community.

The press conference marked the launch of the implementation phase of the Care Equality Corporate Network with its inaugural member companies. Established under the leadership of Özyeğin University in collaboration with TÜSİAD, the network is now entering into its next phase in which academic knowledge will be put into practice in collaboration with the business community.

Emphasizing that universities’ responsibilities extend beyond generating knowledge, Prof. Tan highlighted the importance of connecting research with the needs of society and the business world. He noted that building a bridge between academia and business is one of the core values of the Care Equality Corporate Network. Prof. Tan further explained that the University will support the inaugural members in identifying their own needs based on data and developing solutions aligned with their organizational cultures as the initiative moves forward.

The meeting offered a closer look at the 12-month implementation period scheduled to begin with the network’s inaugural members, as well as the Care Equality Research Support Program, launched to support new research on care work and care equity.
