The Earthquake Simulation Truck Will be on Campus

Dear Students,

Please be advised that the Sustainability, Safety and Quality Department is organizing an Earthquake Simulation Truck event to raise our collective earthquake awareness and promote safe earthquake behavior across our community.

The Earthquake Simulation Truck will be on campus on October 13–14, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Lower Quad / Pavilion Entrance.

As part of the event, you will have the opportunity to experience earthquake shaking in a safe, controlled environment and learn how to respond appropriately during and after an earthquake.

Led by expert instructors, the sessions will provide practical training in essential safety measures, with particular emphasis on the life-saving “Drop, Cover, and Hold On” technique. You will also receive a brief orientation covering earthquake safety, high-risk areas to avoid, and the actions to take in the aftermath of an earthquake.

We invite all our students to take part in this hands-on training to strengthen our collective earthquake preparedness.
