9 out of 12 BIGG Acceleration Program Participants Qualify to Receive Capital Support

Since 2015, Özyeğin University’s Fit Startup Factory has been funding entrepreneurs under the BIGG program as the official practitioner of the TUBITAK 1512 (Technoenterprise Capital Support) Program. In 2018, 12 entrepreneurs joined the program during the 1. Call, and advanced to the second stage for an evaluation by TÜBİTAK. Among these 12 entrepreneurs, 9 qualified to receive a capital support of 150,000 TL each.

Doctor Lecturer Mustafa Furkan Kıraç from the Faculty of Engineering and Buğra Uğur Yıldırım, a 2012 graduate of the Undergraduate Business Administration Program, joined the Fit Startup Factory’s BIGG Acceleration Program during the first call in 2018, and evaluated by TÜBİTAK in the second stage. Both Kıraç and Yıldırım qualified to be one of the 146 entrepreneurs who were awarded capital support among 422 business ideas.

Entrepreneurs who qualified to receive a capital support of 150,000 TL each will start their businesses, sign an agreement with TÜBİTAK, and begin working on bringing their business plans to life on October 1, 2018.
