Asst. Prof. Nuray Akın Honored With Young Scientist Award And TUBITAK Support
Asst. Prof. Dr. Nuray Akın, a member of the Faculty of Business, has been honored with the Science Academy’s Young Scientist Award (BAGEP) 2016. The Young Scientist Award is presented to young scientists under 40 years old. The award provides young researchers with a two-year research support. Asst. Prof. Nuray Akın will receive her award during a ceremony at the Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara, Turkey, on April 14. Asst. Prof. Akin has also been awarded with research support within the scope of the TUBITAK 2232 “Postdoctoral Return Fellowship Program”. The program is designed to support researchers who served in academic positions abroad and returned back home to continue their studies in Turkey. Within the framework of the program, Asst. Prof. Akin will be supported with pay and research support for the next two years. Asst. Prof. Nuray Akin has received the above-cited awards for her research titled An Analysis of Immigration Policies and Macro-economic Impacts of Immigrants in Turkey and some Advanced European Countries.
