SEC 499: Building a New Business

Building a Business!

SEC 499: Building a New Business course gives you the opportunity to go through all the steps of building a new business and bring your business ideas to life with “investment support/seed capital”.

During SEC 499: Building a New Business, you will get a taste of the entrepreneurial process, from evaluating your business idea to developing a business model, and to testing your product/service with potential customers as an entrepreneur.

SEC 499: Building a New Business offers a truly exceptional experience with its rich curriculum complemented with prominent guest speakers who are leading business professionals, entrepreneurs and investors.

At the end of the course, students will make a presentation to a panel of judges. Successful projects that pass the pre-screening will be awarded a rich support package, which includes seed capital, consultancy and office space/hardware. Apply now to join this innovative course!

How?

Interested students with a business idea may apply for the course by completing the form in the link in teams of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 persons. Participation in the course is subject to the evaluation and approval of the course instructor.

Students who submit their forms must concurrently register to the course via the Course Registration screen on SIS, and send their applications to the course instructor for approval. If your application is approved, you will be automatically registered for the course.

Who?

Students from the Faculty of Business, Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Architecture and Design, the Faculty of Law (English proficiency is required), Department of Aviation Management, Department of Hotel Management, Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, Department of International Relations and the Department of Psychology who have completed SEC 201 or SEC 202 / SEC 203 or SEC 204 are eligible to apply.

When-Where?

Classes will be held in Classroom 101, in FEAS AB2 building on Thursday mornings from 09:40 to 12:30.
