The Computer Science Department at Özyeğin University aims to educate engineers who do not merely use technology, but understand, design, develop, and transform it into societal value. Our program brings together a strong theoretical foundation with current technologies, applied learning, a culture of research, and an entrepreneurial mindset.

While gaining in-depth technical knowledge in algorithms, software engineering, artificial intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, systems, and related areas of computer science and engineering, our students develop the ability to produce analytical, creative, and ethical solutions to real-world problems. Through close collaboration with industry, research projects, and an entrepreneurship-oriented learning environment, our students make a strong start to both their academic and professional careers.

The mission of the Computer Science Department is to educate computer engineers with a strong technical foundation, mastery of current technologies, a research-oriented and entrepreneurial mindset, and a high awareness of ethical responsibility; to conduct advanced research in collaboration with industry in response to needs within the field of computer science and engineering; and to develop new theories and technologies.
