Philip Watson, CIO at Citi Private Bank and Head of Global Investment Lab, Visits Our University

Philip Watson, Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) at Citi Private Bank and Head of Global Investment Lab, will be the guest of our University to give a seminar in the Design Area in Room B27, OzU-X Building on Thursday, May 10, from 12:45 to 14:00.

Philip Watson will make a presentation titled  “The Winning Ticket - Innovation Trends in Global Financial Industry: Perspectives from a Global Financial Institution”. The seminar will be open not only to the students taking the IE363 course but all students. The talk will be ensued by a Q&A session to answer our students’ questions.

 Who is Philip Watson?

Philip leads the Global Investment Lab at Citibank, overseeing the creation and delivery of innovative and holistic wealth management strategies, asset allocations and risk management advice to leading high net worth clients and family offices worldwide. Philip also leads the Office for Global Investments Innovation for Citi Private Bank. The function focuses on building innovative solutions and technologies that will improve the quality of investment activities.

A voting member of the Global Investment Committee—which determines the Private Bank’s tactical asset allocation policy—Philip is also a member of the Multi-Asset Class Committee that informs decisions on the management of discretionary portfolios at Citi.

Prior to joining the Private Bank in 2003, Philip performed various roles within equity derivatives, risk management and warrants trading for Citi’s Investment Bank.
