Biography

Prof. Dr. Alper Ünlü obtained his B.Arch  from Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Architecture in 1979, M.Sc in Architecture from ITU-MMLS Program in Architecture in 1980. He  attended “Ph.D. Program in Environment-Behavior Studies” in University Wisconsin Miwaukee between  1984-1985 as “Aga Khan Award for Architecture” scholar, and obtained his Ph.D. in Architecture  from ITU Science and Technology Institute in 1987. He taught architectural design and theory courses  in ITU as Assistant  and Associate Professor between 1988-1990 ,and architectural design and post-occupancy evaluation  between 1991-1993, King Faisal University, KSA. He continued to teach architectural design in undergraduate level , environment-behavior theories, architecture and   epistemology in  post graduate levels between 2002-2018 as professor in Architecture of  ITU.  His research focuses on architectural design theories, environment-behavior studies and theories, space syntax theory and epistemology.
