Dr. Berkay Anahtarcı is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematical Engineering at Özyeğin University, which he joined in 2015. His research lies at the intersection of machine learning theory, stochastic control, and game theory, focusing on mathematical frameworks for learning, decision-making, and collective behavior in intelligent systems. His recent work includes reinforcement learning in mean-field games, scalable methods for learning and control in large-scale multi-agent systems, and the mathematical foundations of large language models. Dr. Anahtarcı received the Özyeğin University Faculty Teaching and Learning Excellence Award in 2024 and has served on the Board of the Turkish Mathematical Society since 2025. He earned his B.Sc. in Mathematics from Boğaziçi University in 2008 and his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Mathematics from Sabancı University in 2011 and 2015, respectively.
