Dr. Burcu KISMET CONK received her Bachelor’s degree with high honors from the Department of Architecture at Istanbul Technical University in 2017, and her Master’s degree with high honors in Architecture – Building Architecture from Politecnico di Milano in 2020. She obtained her PhD degree in Architectural Design Computing from Istanbul Technical University in 2025. She was a visiting researcher at Edinburgh Napier University, where she conducted her doctoral research on computational design and the circular economy in 2022. She was a visiting lecturer at the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology in 2025, where she delivered seminar courses on Building Information Modeling and the circular economy. She worked as a Research Assistant in the Department of Architecture at Beykoz University Between 2020 and 2025. She has also gained professional experience in architectural offices in Germany and Türkiye. Her research focuses on the circular and digital transformation of the built environment. Her research interests include circular economy, sustainability, Building Information Modeling (BIM), digital twins, and artificial intelligence applications in the built environment.
