Att. Selmin Cansu Demir graduated from Faculty of Law, Marmara University, in 2008. Att. Demir commenced her career as a self-employed attorney-at-law, after she had completed internship studies in law at Istanbul Bar Association. The main focus area of her practice includes criminal law, family law, human rights, the human rights of women, and criminal execution law. The classes Att. Demir gives to trainee lawyers at Practical Training and Internship Center, Istanbul Bar Association include Juvenile Law, Moot Court, and she also gives lectures on Juvenile Criminal Law to attorneys at In-Job Training Seminars held by the Department of Practices of Code of Criminal Procedures. Att. Demir, as an educator, takes part in various projects designed for children, women, prisoners, and workers. Att. Demir has been serving voluntarily to non-governmental organizations since her college years, and she has been the secretary general of Children’s Rights Center, Istanbul Bar Association since 2010.
