Dr. Didem Boyacıoğlu graduated from İstanbul Technical University (ITU), Department of Architecture, in 1999. Completed her Master’s degree, in ITU, Department of Restoration with the thesis titled “Restoration Project of Arap Hanı in Eminönü, Küçükpazar”, in 2005. Earned her doctorate from the same university, in History of Architecture Department, in 2013. The title of her Phd thesis is “Urban and Architectural Analysis of the Ottoman Factory Buildings”. Since 2010, she teaches architectural design and architectural history at different universities. She has articles published in national and international journals, in the fields of architectural history and theory, architectural design and architectural preservation and restoration.
