Dr. Ege Göktuna, Attorney at Law, received his LL.B. degree from Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 1997 and subsequently joined Galatasaray University Faculty of Law, where he worked until 2013. He received his master’s degree from the Department of Private Law at Marmara University Institute of Social Sciences in 2000 and his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Fiscal Law at Marmara University Institute of Social Sciences in 2011.
He conducted part of his doctoral research at Paris I University with a scholarship from the Galatasaray Education Foundation. In 2006, with a scholarship from the University of Bologna and UniCredit Bank, he was a visiting researcher at the European Advanced Tax Studies Centre within the Antonio Cicu Centre for Legal Research, where he conducted research on indirect taxation of financial transactions under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Adriano Di Pietro.
Dr. Göktuna’s research in the field of tax law focuses particularly on corporate taxation, the tax implications of corporate restructurings, value added tax, European Union tax law, and international tax law.
From September 2013 to July 2026, Dr. Ege Göktuna served as a full-time Assistant Professor at Özyeğin University Faculty of Law. He is currently a partner at Bezen & Partners and continues to teach tax law courses at our Faculty as a Visiting Lecturer.
