Egem Atik graduated from İstanbul Bilgi University in 2010 with a BA in Comparative Literature. She attended programmes on modern and postmodern literature at The University of Edinburgh. In 2014, she earned her MA in Turkish Language and Literature at Boğaziçi University. Her ongoing PhD research focuses on the representations of masculinities and homosocial bonds in Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar’s novels.
