Novel and short fiction in modern Turkish literature, poststucturalism, the relationship between literature and power
Egem Atik graduated from İstanbul Bilgi University in 2010 with a BA in Comparative Literature. She was awarded with a scholarship from Hazel E. Heughan Educational Trust to attend modern and postmodern literature programmes in The University of Edinburgh. She earned her MA degree in Turkish Language and Literature at Boğaziçi University in 2014 with her thesis titled “Subject and Power in the Novels of Sevgi Soysal”. He continues her PhD studies in the same department. Her areas of research include novel and short fiction in modern Turkish literature, gender studies and the relationship between literature and power.
