Biography

Dr. İsmail Başoğlu obtained his BSc from Yıldız Technical University, Department of Industrial Engineering in 2006, MSc and PhD in Industrial Engineering from Boğaziçi University respectively in 2008 and 2014. After completing his PhD, he participated in the project “Quasi-Monte Carlo Methods in Market Risk Management” supervised by Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University as a postdoctoral researcher. Since 2014, he has been affiliated with several universities as a full-time or part-time faculty member and offered courses such as probability models, stochastic processes, simulation modelling, financial simulation, engineering economics, supply chain management, and production and operations management. His research interests are discrete event system simulation, Monte Carlo simulation, stochastic processes, stochastic models in finance, statistical analysis methods, and mathematical modelling in supply chains.
