Lale Kaplan studied law in Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi and specialized on Air Law, Alliance, Competition Law and M&A. She started working as a Legal Counselor at Turkish Airlines, and then became the Deputy Chief Legal Counsel. Upon changing her department to Commercial Department, she worked as the regional director of UAE, Qatar, Oman, Yemen, Bahrain and Sri Lanka between 2003 and 2007. Before her retirement from Turkish Airline in 2009, she became the Senior Vice President of International Affairs and Alliances and leaded integration of Turkish Airlines into Star Alliance. Since then, she became Chief Legal Counsel of Sabiha Gökçen International Airport. She is member of Pendik Soroptimist Club. In addition, she has given lectures at different universities regarding the hot topics of Air Law. She is partner of Bati Law Firm. And leading aviation division of law firm. She is married, with one child and speaks English. She will start giving Air Law Courses as lecture at Ozyegin University Faculty of Aviation and Aeronautical Sciences.
