Mehmet Önal obtained his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the Middle East technical University in 2003. He received his master’s degree from the University of Central Florida in 2005, and his Ph.D. from the University of Florida in 2009. After receiving his Ph.D., he started working as a Post Doctoral Associate in Innovative Scheduling, Inc. for 1 year. Then, until the beginning of 2017-2018 academic year, he worked in the Industrial Engineering Department of Işık University as an Assistant Professor. His research mainly focuses on generating efficient algorithms for production and inventory planning problems.
