Biography

Mostafa Almasraf graduated with an honors degree from the University of Zawia, Libya in 2011. He worked as a civil engineer (Structural design/site) between the years of 2011-2015. He then joined academia and completed his M.Sc degree from Istanbul University in 2018. During his master’s study, he worked as a research assistant in the European Union Project entitled (Assessment and Mitigation of Liquefaction Potential across Europe) within the scope of the European Union Horizon2020 program.
Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate and working as a research assistant in the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering at Özyeğin University. His Ph.D. study is funded by the Tübitak project, focusing on the behavior of embankments constructed on soft soils. His primary research areas are soil-structure interaction, investigating macro and micro soil behavior using discrete element methods, and liquefaction analysis.
