Dr. Shaghayegh Sadeghzadeh Benam received her BSc degree in Civil Engineering in 2016 and completed her MSc (2020) and PhD (2026) degrees in the Department of Civil Engineering at Özyeğin University. During her doctoral studies, she served as a teaching and research assistant, actively participating in multiple national and industry-funded R&D projects. Her research primarily focuses on the large-scale valorization of industrial and construction-demolition waste, as well as designing printable concrete tailored for extrusion-based 3D printing applications (3DCP). Her work investigates a wide range of sustainable and low-carbon cementitious and alkali-activated binder systems, with a particular emphasis on rheological behavior, workability retention, early-age hydration kinetics, and admixture–binder interactions. Within the scope of these investigations, she integrates statistical analysis methods and machine learning (ML) models to predict and optimize multi-scale material behavior.

Sustainable and low-carbon binder systems, concrete rheology, 3D concrete printing, and advanced microstructural characterization
