Design Laboratory

Industrial design is a field where innovative ideas are put to test through prototyping in order to enhance the products, services and systems. ÖzÜ Design Lab takes a significant role in students’ design processes with its prototyping equipments and the workshop environment specifically designed for model-making.

ÖzÜ Design Lab provides students with a variety of equipment. These include basic hand tools, bench equipments and the following latest technology:

• 3D printer (BeeveryCreative, BeetheFirst)
• CNC Router (Poysan, EK6060 1.4kW)
• Laser Cutter (Almira, Crea Speed D1510)
• Vacuum Machine (Vakumsan, 13kW 50x70)

Unless otherwise specified, Design Lab is open during office hours (between 8:00-16:45) on weekdays. A worksop specialist assists students in their model and prototype making processes.
