International Finance Minor Program

International Finance Minor Program

Students enrolled in an interfaculty minor program who have successfully completed BUS 101 – Introduction to Business I (Decision Making) in their major program are exempt from taking BUS 100 – Fundamentals of Business Administration and BUS 190 – Introduction to Business Informatics. However, students whose major program does not include BUS 101 are required to take and successfully complete BUS 100 and BUS 190.

Among students minoring in the Faculty of Business programs, for those who took and successfully completed the BUS 101 Introduction to Business I (Decision Making) course in their major programs, the credit and grade transfers will be completed as follows:

  • For the student’s major program, the credit and course transfer rules of the major program will prevail.
  • For the student’s minor program, the credit and grade transfer rules of the minor program will prevail.

Students majoring in International Trade and Business and minoring in any other undergraduate program within the Faculty of Business are required to take IBUS 402 and IBUS 404. However, since these courses are considered equivalent to MGMT 402 and SEC 402, students who have successfully completed those courses will be exempt from IBUS 402 and IBUS 404.

Important Note:

  • Faculty of Business students pursuing a minor in an undergraduate program of the Faculty of Business must have completed at least 270 (240+30) credits in total in order to be eligible for graduation from their minor programs. Students who complete all required courses in both their major and minor programs but fall short of the 270 ECTS requirement must make up the missing credits by taking additional courses from the “Program Electives” pools of the International Finance program.
  • Students majoring in another faculty but minoring within the Faculty of Business are not subject to the 270 ECTS credit requirement. However, they must complete all course requirements of their minor program in full.
