SCHOLARSHIP TERM
Scholarships are awarded for the doctoral program’s maximum period of study, which is stipulated in the respective program’s rules and regulations, so long as the recipient maintains the minimum required academic standing and successfully completes the Academic Practice (AP 570) course.
CONTINUTY AND TERMINATION OF SCHOLARSHIPS
The continuity of scholarships is re-evaluated by the respective department at the end of each fall and spring semester, and summer session within the framework of the following rules. The final decision about the continuity of scholarships is made pursuant to the approval of the Graduate School Executive Board upon the recommendation of the Department.
⦁Failure to maintain 3.00 or at least a 3.00 grade point average will result in a tuition waiver reduction by 25%. Tuition waiver reduction is re-applied each semester in which the cumulative grade point average falls below 3.00. Scholarships may be reinstated once the cumulative grade point average goes 3.00 or above 3.00 again.
⦁In the semester in which the cumulative grade point falls below 3.00, all additional scholarships awarded to the student will be terminated, excluding the tuition waiver. Terminated scholarship(s) may be reinstated once the cumulative grade point average goes above 3.00 again.
⦁Tuition waivers of the students who “fail” the Academic Practice (AP 570) course at the end of the semester are reduced by 50 percent, while all other scholarships awarded to the students are reduced by 50 percent of the full scholarship. Should the student pass the Academic Practice (AP 750) course in the following semester, all scholarships other than tuition waiver may be reinstated.
