Purpose of the Program

The purpose of Master of Laws in Public Law is to examine the foundation and operation of the state, and the constitutional and administrative fundamentals, to discuss crimes and fight against crimes, penalties and the security system, as well as issues faced during the European Union accession period and their solutions, to bring a novel and scientific perspective to legal issues, to explore intellectual and industrial property rights, and last but not least, to prepare researchers who will undertake high-impact academic research.
 
 The Master of Laws in Public Law will, in the long run, lay the foundation for future research institutions which will centralize on the sub-branches of public law at Özyeğin University. In other words, some of the courses offered as part the curriculum are intended to serve as the pillars of a separate research institution in the future.  Therefore the LLM program in Public Law should be considered as a first step towards a highest level of specialization in public law under the roof of OzU.
