Purpose of the Program

Energy Law has become quite popular in recent years, both lawyers and other professionals working in the energy field has become more and more interest in energy law. Indeed, a very detailed knowledge of energy law is required in order to conceive the new structure of the energy sector, to be able to analyze the legal relationships between actors of the energy markets and to be able to solve legal problems in the context of those relationships. Moreover, the increasing number of academic studies in the field of energy law manifests the importance and attractiveness of the area for academics.
 
In the light of these developments and to be able to satisfy the need for an academic program in this area, Özyeğin University offers a thesis-based LLM program with a multidimensional course catalog for lawyers and non-lawyers who would like to specialize in energy law. The program aims to ensure that at the end of the program all of its graduates have an in-depth knowledge of energy law with its all dimensions, can conduct and publish scientific research in the field, and have developed their problem-solving skills in order to transfer theoretical knowledge gained during the program to practice.
