Welcome to the home page of the Undergraduate Hotel Management Program offered by the Özyeğin University School of Applied Sciences.

Our Undergraduate Hotel Management Program was established as the first and only academic program ever developed in its domain in Turkey pursuant to the resolution rendered during the Higher Education General Board Meeting held on May 21, 2009.

As a continuously developing industry both in Turkey and around the world, hotel management is a highly attractive major for the young generation due to the lack of well-educated and experienced personnel in this field; and it seems that hotel management will continue to be appealing to the young generation worldwide for years to come.

According to the World Travel and Tourism Council’s 2009 data, the tourism industry is expected to grow by 9.4% worldwide within the next decade, providing employment for 55,878,000 people by the year 2019. It is estimated that 1 out of 11.8 employees will be recruited for the tourism industry in 2019.

Hotel investments will constitute the largest proportion in this domain with an investment of 260,068,000,000 Euros by the year 2017, culminating into a total of 917,300 new rooms for the international hotel chains.

Taking pride in its exceptional faculty with academic depth and industry experience, the Undergraduate Hotel Management Program of the Özyeğin University School of Applied Sciences endeavors to integrate its students within international hotel chains as entrepreneurial, innovative, solution oriented, academically distinguished graduates vested with sectoral know-how and skills and able to add value to their employers from the first day on; and transform them into tomorrow’s hospitality leaders through a robust career planning.
