2019-2020 Spring Semester Dorm Application 2

Dear Students,

You may find below the dormitory application 2 and check-in procedures for the 2019-2020 Spring Semester. Please observe the guidelines and rules below when applying for or checking in the dormitories.  

2019-2020 SPRING SEMESTER DORM APPLICATIONS 2

As all applications have been accepted as Annual Registration for the 2019-2020 academic year, the Fall semester residents do not need to re-apply to continue to stay in the dormitories. Students wishing to submit a dormitory application for the 2019-2020 Spring semester must pay the security deposit (500 TL) and the down payment (2.500 TL).   Students with housing scholarship are exempt from the Down Payment.

Down Payment

The down payment is an initial upfront payment (of 2,500 TL) made during the dormitory application for your application to be considered.  This amount will be deducted from your Spring semester housing fees, and the remaining amount will then be charged to you in the spring semester.

You may make your down payment in cash at FIBABANK branches between the dates announced by Accommodation Services Management by providing your “Student Number” or “Foreign Identification Number”.

The down payment and the security deposit are two separate fees. Students who have not paid any security deposit before must pay 3.000 TL in total, including the security deposit of 500 TL and the down payment of 2.500 TL.

Due Date for Security Deposit and Down Payment              : Friday, January 17, 2020, 17:00

Announcement of Room Assignments                                     : Wednesday, January 22, 2020

Applicants will be informed about the result of their dormitory applications. The initial announcement sent to admitted applicants will only include the dormitory and type of room they are assigned. 

Room numbers will be announced on Friday, January 24, 2020, after all residents have checked out of the dormitories, and rooms are ready to move in.

2019-2020 SPRING SEMESTER DORM CHECK-INS

Residents may check in their rooms for the Spring Semester on the following dates:

Start Date for Spring Semester Check-Ins for Prep Students: Sunday, February 02, 2020

Start Date for Spring Semester Check-Ins for Undergraduate Students: Sunday, February 09, 2020

IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to be eligible to check in their rooms, residents must have no outstanding debts (i.e. housing fees, cost of damage or room card fees) to the University from previous semesters including the 2019-2020 Fall Semester. Failure to pay all of the housing fees will result in cancellation of the room assignment.

In order to check in,

Current Residents Registered in the Fall Semester must pay their Spring semester housing fees applicable to their room types and visit the Dormitory Office to renew their room cards.

Newly Admitted Spring Semester Residents must complete the following procedures before checking in their rooms:

  • Visit the Dormitory Management Office (Applicants assigned a room in Dorm 1, 2, or 3 must visit the Dormitory Management Office in Dorm 3. Applicants assigned a room in Dorm 4 or 5 must visit the Dormitory Management Office in Dorm 5. Applicants assigned a room in Dorm 6 must visit the Dormitory Management Office in Dorm 6.),
  • Fill out the Spring Semester Room Check-In Form and submit a clean bill of health (health report) and a clean criminal record certificate (police clearance certificate) to Dormitory Management,
  • Claim their room cards for the Spring Semester (Students who have failed to pay their Spring semester housing fees are not eligible to receive their room cards),
  • Sign the Room Condition Inventory for their new rooms.
