Assistant Professor Senem Timuroğlu’s Book “Winged Women - Friendship of Ottoman and European Women Writers” Selected the Best Book of the Year

Özyeğin University Professor Assistant Professor Senem Timuroğlu’s book “Winged Women - Friendship of Ottoman and European Women Writers”, which was published by İletişim Publishing House, has been recognized as Best Book of 2020 by the Galatasaray University students. First published in March 2020, Winged Women explores women writers in the final days of the Ottoman Empire and the European intellectuals with whom they were interacting through the lenses of both the history of literature and a feminist movement. 

Established by the Business Administration Club at Galatasaray University in 2005, EN Awards recognizes outstanding projects and individuals in the fields of cinema, theater, music, media, business world, advertisement, social responsibility, and sports. The awards are conferred with the votes of the Galatasaray University students. EN Awards is also the one and only awards program of Galatasaray University.
