22 March 2022 World Water Day Poster Competition

International World Water Day is celebrated every year on 22 March to draw attention to the importance of freshwater resources and to focus on the sustainable management of freshwater resources. The first proposal for World Water Day was made in 1992 at the United Nations Conference on Environmental Development (UNCED). After the World Water Day was officially signed by the United Nations General Assembly on March 22, 1993, it has been celebrated around the world every year. Organized by the United Nations-Water (UN-Water), these celebrations are held with a different theme every year. The theme of World Water Day for 2022 has been determined as “Making Groundwater Visible”.

With the poster competition themed "Making Groundwater Visible" by the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works on the occasion of 22 March World Water Day, to ensure that the importance of the subject is adopted by young generations and to increase the level of knowledge, and the works that will be ranked will be displayed in all exhibitions and fairs that the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works will attend. It was organized with the aim of transferring water awareness to young generations and citizens by exhibiting.
