Corporate & Startup Day 2019 Takes Place in Collaboration with Özyeğin University

The Corporate & Startup Day 2019, organized jointly by Özyeğin University, Endeavor Turkey, TOBB Young Entrepreneurs, the Entrepreneurial Organizations Platform, and Bizz Consulting, brought together start-up leaders, companies, and startups for a third time. The third edition of the Corporate & Startup Day took place with the business partnership of Özyeğin University, and played host to Mr. Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology. Prof. Dr. Esra Gençtürk, Rector of Özyeğin University, delivered the opening address at the Corporate & Startup Day. The largest event of its kind in the startup world, the Corporate & Startup Day, presented awards in three major categories to support the ecosystem and help develop innovative ideas to transform them into actual businesses. Participants received their awards from Mr. Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology, and Prof. Dr. Esra Gençtürk, Rector of Özyeğin University. The awards were conferred in the following 3 categories.

The top three in the first category “Best Intrapreneurship Project”:

1. First place winner: Gullseye, a tech start-up which developed a terminal operation system for Softtech (Iş Bank Subsidiary)
2. Second place winner: Aykargo, a start-up launched by Aygaz to offer shipment services to its dealers and e-commerce companies.
3. Third place winner: Comodif, a telematics big-data platform for smart mobility developed by Farplas for its automobile ecosystem.

The top three in the second category “Most Effective Company & Startup Cooperation”:

1. First Place Winner: Smart Beer Tap project developed jointly by Anadolu Efes and Pubbinno,
2. Second Place Winner: An artificial intelligence system to predict the energy output of wind turbines developed by Borusan Energy and Terantum,
3. Third Place Winner: A performance management platform using gamification developed jointly by Albarakatürk and Inooster.

Koç Holding’s Innovation Program topped first in the final category “Best Intrapreneurship Program”.
