Our economic model is dominated by the GDP-profit nexus, and it is now widely recognized that it is not sustainable. Better measures of performance than GDP for economies, and better measures than shareholder value for business companies, are urgently needed. Amid several initiatives, a new paradigm is emerging, centered on human and ecological needs. At the level of an economy, it calls for inclusive criteria based on a comprehensive notion of well-being. At the level of a business, it calls for pursuing the interests of all stakeholders. But how can this be implemented concretely and on the ground, with data and operational criteria? This webinar will discuss the prospects for progress on this front.
