Sustainability Seminar Series: TÜSİAD Deputy Secretary General Melda Çel is the Guest of Our University

The Seminar Series organized by the TÜSİAD - OzU Sustainable Development Forum continues with a new seminar by Ms. Melde Çele, Deputy Secretary General for Sustainable Development, Entrepreneurship and Investment Environment. Ms. Melda Çele will be the guest of our University to give a talk on “The Role of and Cooperation Between Non-Governmental Organizations and the Business World Towards the Achievement of Global Goals” . The talk will take place in the Design Area, B27, OzU-X Building on Thursday, May 17, 2018.  

The event is open not only to students taking the Sustainability in Business (IE 394 and MGMT 322) course, but to all of our students. The talk will be followed by a Q&A session during which our students will have the opportunity to ask questions and talk with Ms. Çele.

Who is Melda Çele?

Melda Çele is the Deputy Secretary General at TÜSİAD for the coordination of the sustainable development and investment environment issues and the management of the entrepreneurship and youth platform.  After serving for 5 years on the Executive Board of Global Compact Turkey, a UN sustainability initiative, Ms. Çele was appointed as the Network Executive Director for Turkey, and has been serving as the Head of the Turkey Office since 2013.  Ms. Çele obtained her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Koç University, and earned her master’s degree in European Integration in the University of Essex.
