Özyeğin University Faculty of Applied Sciences Students Represented Our University at the 18th European Mise en Place Cup (EMCup)

The European Mise en Place Cup (EMCup) is an annual professional and academic networking platform as well as an academic competition that brings together leading Hospitality Management Schools from across Europe. The 18th edition was held on February 15–16, 2026, in Amsterdam. Our Hotel Management and Gastronomy and Culinary Arts students, Maysoon Khan, Lidya Şahin, Abdul Rehman Amer, Ayman Al Huq, and Mert Koca, proudly represented Özyeğin University at EMCup 2026. 

Under the 2026 theme “Changing Course – Cranking up the Heat in F&B”, 29 universities from 14 countries competed. The Hotel Management and Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Programs of Özyeğin University continue to be the only university from Türkiye participating in the competition. Throughout the event, our students enjoyed a great networking experience where they built strong and lasting academic and professional relationships with fellow students from a cross Europe, as well as with distinguished industry professionals serving as jury members. They have also showcased their expertise through project and case presentations before a panel of judges composed of senior executives from leading hotels across Europe. 

Our Hotel Management student, Maysoon Khan won the “Minor Mystery” competition organized by Minor Hotels and was awarded the “Minor Hotels Career Starter Pack”.
