DENİZ
EROĞLU
Dr. (NS)
Theoretical Physics, Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany, 2016
Mathematical Physics, Ege University, 2013
Physics, Ege University, 2010
Deniz Eroğlu received his BSc in Physics (2010) and MSc in Mathematical Physics (2013) from Ege University, followed by a PhD in Theoretical Physics from Humboldt University of Berlin in 2016. He subsequently conducted postdoctoral research at the University of São Paulo, Imperial College London, and Northwestern University.
In 2019, he joined Kadir Has University, where he founded and directed the Network-Oriented Dynamics and Data Science (NODDS) Lab. He was appointed Associate Professor in 2025. He is also a long-standing member of the DynamIC research group in the Department of Mathematics at Imperial College London, where he held a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (2024–2026).
His research focuses on network dynamical systems, nonlinear dynamics, synchronization, critical transitions, and data-driven mathematical modeling. He develops approaches combining dynamical systems theory with machine learning and computational methods, with applications in brain dynamics, power-grid networks, climate systems, and computational biology.
He received the Science Academy’s BAGEP Physics Award in 2021 and has led several nationally and internationally funded research projects supported by TÜBİTAK and the European Union.
His academic appointments include an Honorary Visiting Readership in the Department of Mathematics at Imperial College London, and a faculty position in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Western Australia (from January 2027).
