Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Özyeğin University, 2024
Psychology, Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University, 2020
Elif Demirtaş earned her B.A. in Psychology at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University in 2020 and her M.A. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at Özyeğin University in 2024. Her master’s thesis was awarded a research grant by TÜBİTAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey). Her research examines how employees perceive and respond to interpersonal stressors at work, with a particular focus on workplace incivility. Moving beyond static, between-person approaches, she adopts a process-oriented perspective to investigate how momentary affective states shape work experiences over time, capturing temporal dynamics. She also investigates how within-person fluctuations interact with individual differences to amplify or attenuate these processes, thereby influencing employees’ well-being. Methodologically, she specializes in intensive longitudinal designs, including experience sampling and daily diary studies, and applies advanced multilevel modeling techniques including lagged and concurrent mediation and random coefficient models to analyze complex nested data. She has also served as a teaching assistant in several undergraduate- and graduate-level courses, including Measurement Techniques in Psychology, Research Methods, Leadership and Motivation at Work, Advanced Topics in Work and Organizational Psychology.
