Mehmet Ertürk obtained his B.Sc. degree in Civil Aviation Management and a minor degree in Business Administration from Anadolu University in 2013. He then completed his M.Sc. degree in Civil Aviation Management at Anadolu University in 2019 and his Ph.D. in Aviation Management at Eskişehir Technical University in 2026.

During his undergraduate studies, he completed internships at Çelebi Ground Handling, Sky Airlines, and Turkish Airlines' Prague Office in the Czech Republic. He also spent one semester at the University of Pardubice/Transport Faculty as an exchange student.

Dr. Ertürk joined Özyeğin University's Faculty of Aviation and Aeronautical Sciences as a Research Assistant in 2014 and has been working as an Instructor since 2018. His research interests include aviation management, strategic management, and technology and innovation management. He has worked on topics such as risk management in aviation organizations, airline strategies, and machine learning applications in aviation. He has also participated in several national and international research projects.

His teaching expertise covers air law, operational procedures, air traffic management, airline business models and strategies, and airline fleet planning and network management. He also holds instructor authorizations from the Turkish Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM) for Air Law (ATPL), Aeroplane Operational Procedures (ATPL), and Introduction to Aviation (U 01 E SD 028).
