Meriç Bıçakcıoğlu holds a PhD in Organization Studies from İstanbul Bilgi University, where his academic focus included entrepreneurship and organizational sociology. He believes in a “practice-science collaboration” to better understand complex phenomena and apply insights to real-world situations.
His professional journey began in education, followed by a career at the Istanbul Chamber of Industry. There, he advanced through various roles, starting as a team member on an international reorganization project, later managing the training unit, and ultimately serving as a Coordinator and Advisor to the Board.
After completing an MBA at the University of Nottingham in the UK, Meriç became an entrepreneur in the agricultural sector. Initially a producer and seller, he pivoted to designing an “agricultural due diligence” system with a team of experts to support investment processes. This experience solidified his passion for entrepreneurship, leading him to share his knowledge as a mentor and advisor.
Meriç specializes in business model development, innovation culture, reorganization, and process management. He plans workshops and provides mentorship, training, and direct advisory services to companies on these topics. He is also a Project Coordinator and Mentor for Hicerate, a New York-based accelerator, and contributes to two entrepreneurial ventures by helping structure their organizations, overseeing business relationships, and leading product-based projects.
A particular focus of his work is on Creativity, Social Entrepreneurship, and Social Innovation. He organizes training sessions, workshops, and provides mentoring for both private companies and public institutions. He frequently speaks on these subjects to diverse groups, including high schools, non-profits, and universities. Currently, he serves as a part-time instructor at Özyeğin University, teaching courses on “Social Entrepreneurship, Social Innovation and Change” as well as “Creativity and Ideation.”
Meriç remains actively engaged in the entrepreneurship ecosystem through ongoing mentorship, training, and by managing consultancy and scaling initiatives for a private company.
