Övünç Ege obtained her first B.A. from Hacettepe University, Department of Archaeology in 2014, her second B.Sc. from Istanbul Arel University, Department of Media and Communication Systems in 2019, M.A. in Media and Cultural Studies from Istanbul Arel University in 2021. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Communication Sciences at Istinye University. Before joining Özyeğin University, Ege was a writer and editor in the digital agency and event industry. She draws on gender, mythology, cinema, and media in her academic work with an interdisciplinary approach.
