Pinar BUYUKBALCI holds a PhD in Management and International Business. Her research spans international business, international entrepreneurship, and entrepreneurial ecosystems, with a particular focus on technology ventures. She has been closely engaged with entrepreneurial ecosystems in Istanbul and internationally through her academic research and professional collaborations with science parks, incubation centers, and local and international entrepreneurship communities.
Over the past decade, she has participated in several national and international research and teaching projects. She is a Fulbright Scholar, a British Academy Scholar, and a Board Member of the Academy of International Business (AIB) Digitalization SIG. She has also served as a Visiting Scholar at Georgia State University’s Robinson College of Business.
