Dr. Suzan Tireki obtained her B.Sc. degree from the Middle East Technical University, Department of Food Engineering in 2002, M.Sc. degree in Food Engineering from the Middle East Technical University in 2005, and Ph.D. degree in Food Engineering from the Middle East Technical University in 2017. Dr. Suzan Tireki worked as a research assistant in the department of Food Engineering at the Middle East Technical University in 2002-2005, and she worked in the research and development departments of different national and international food companies between 2005 and 2019. From 2019 to 2021, she worked as an Assistant Professor at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, Food Engineering Department, where she taught quality management, food machinery, food preservation, enterpreneurship, food waste management, innovation and product development courses. Her areas of concentration are food technology, drying, microwave processing, product development and shelf-life investigation. Her research focuses on confectionery, snack foods and beverages.
