About Public Law Master’s Degree Program (Non-thesis)

With technology, we are living in a period in which structural boundaries have melted, collaboration between fields has become mandatory, everything is changing rapidly and as a result, the law has to constantly renew itself. This period makes it necessary to create academic environments where interaction with non-legal fields are increased and developing application-oriented and solution-oriented projects is deemed essential in order to fulfill the needs.

Each course opened within the scope of the program is carried out with a faculty member working at our University and in the relevant sector as an expert in his/her field; and while students obtain theoretical information from the faculty members, they also get the opportunity to learn about the problems and the deficiencies in the practice directly from the people in the industry. Thus, it is ensured that the legal solutions expected to be created by students are realistic and feasible.

Therefore, with the Public Law Non-Thesis Master Program, we would like to open our doors to anyone with at least 3 years of sectoral experience in their profession, who are aware of the problems / dilemmas of the field / sector in which they work and who would like to improve their skills to resolve and provide solution to these issues, who aims to specialize and gain deep knowledge in the subjects which they face problems, who have graduated from law school or other disciplines but are interested in legal perspective and with our Program, to set sail for new horizons with you and contribute to the future by using different contents and education methods. Thus, with the education to be provided through the Public Law Non-Thesis Master Program, it will be ensured that the law is understood from the perspective of other fields of study and such fields of study is understood from the perspective of law.

We invite you to be a part of education and one of the cornerstones of our education team, who are tired of interdisciplinary disconnection in the field of Public Law, who would like to draw different disciplines together, to make their experience permanent with their endeavors, to take part in the solution of problems, in short, to leave a mark in a subject.

Let's make the legal regulations on different issues in compliance with the new developments. Let's seize the future today.

You are the ONE who experience, be the ONE who solves it

Show your IMPACT, CONTRIBUTE, leave a MARK

Purpose:

Unlike the structure of the existing law programs that passivates the student, it is aimed to make the students more active by being a part of the solution in the Public Law Non-Thesis Master Program. When students encounter a legal problem, they try to find solutions by considering the perspective and the needs of the field. To this end, they develop their skills in producing legal solutions that are suitable for the purpose of solving the problem by discussing the negative aspects of the existing legal regulations in working life in detail. By supporting the theory with practice, their knowledge is strengthened and students master not only theory but also practice.

Therefore, with the Public Law Non-Thesis Master Program, the main purpose is to identify, examine and review the problematic issues within the subjects that are open to development, where the current legislation is unable respond to the needs of other disciplines, is insufficient or poses a challenge;  and within such process to prepare a wording that will benefit the society, seizes the moment and will become a part of a draft law or legislation accompanied by a project consultant. In this way, the main goal of this Program is to provide new solutions by trying to understand the relationship of different disciplines with law, understanding the problems from the perspective of other disciplines and developing new solutions to the problems in the light of different and new perspectives, to understand the legal needs of other fields and recognizing the channels that will cooperate in order to provide solutions, to improve interdisciplinary communication and mutual solution skills, and thus to provide original, innovative and solution-oriented contributions to the information society.

Issues in the sectors that are not solved by the current regulations or do not have an equivalent in the regulation or that the regulation is insufficient to respond will be discussed extensively and efforts will be made to bring new solution oriented regulations. Developing team and communication skills of participants from different disciplines are some of the main goals. For this purpose, in the courses to be carried out with the professors coming from both the legal discipline and from other disciplines who are experts in the subject, the drafts that will be created after the lectures taught in accordance with the purpose of the program will also lay the groundwork for the future legal legislation and will guide the relevant persons on the subject. The information produced in this way will be shared as needed and turned into useful outputs for the public.
